There's Only One Washington, DC

For over 10 years, NEXTDC, Educational Tours, Inc, and the SYTA Youth Foundation have partnered to help students from across the country build their appreciation of our nation's capital, both its institutions and local culture.

Through the Rite of Passage program, deserving students get a chance to experience must-see attractions unique to Washington DC.

Now Accepting Nominations

Spring 2027 - travel dates to be determined based on availability.

Minimum group size is 15 students plus chaperones and should be based within a 4 hour drive of Washington, DC. While we welcome applications from groups of all sizes and backgrounds, preference will be given to Title 1 middle or high schools or established after-school programs serving 8-12th grade students in need.
