Continuing Their Legacies

NEXTDC remembers four of our Washington, DC hospitality colleagues with memorial scholarships. All four were dedicated to serving their communities and we are proud to continue their legacies by supporting the next generation of leaders in their honor.

The Ray Bennett Scholarship for Leadership honors the late Marriott International executive. Ray understood that he had the opportunity to serve as a role model for young people across our industry.

The David Iselin Scholarship for Community Service honors the promising young Destination DC colleague who was committed to using his talents to make his community a better place. The Scholarship is made possible by a generous gift of the Iselin family.

The Akira Wilson Memorial Scholarship for Entrepreneurship recognizes the late Jackson-Reed student. Akira was also dual-enrolled at Trinity University, interned with Concord Hospitality, and planned to attend Florida State University.
